The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is rapidly modernizing the massive global networks that underpin the Department of Defense’s daily operations. To ensure its communications infrastructure can adapt to surging data demands and hybrid-cloud environments, the agency has officially awarded the Peraton DISA CSC III contract award. This massive agreement, valued at up to $279.9 million, taps Peraton to deliver highly scalable, on-demand communications capabilities for critical data centers worldwide.
Sustaining On-Demand Communications Capacity
Competitively solicited via SAM.gov, the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) recompete contract specifically supports the Capacity Services Communications III (CSC III) program. Rather than locking the government into a rigid, fixed equipment set, this contract is specifically engineered to adapt to DISA’s evolving operational requirements in real time.
Under the CSC III vehicle, Peraton will supply comprehensive communications infrastructure capabilities across both DISA and non-DISA sites globally. This massive scope of work includes the provisioning of physical and virtual appliances, hardware, operating software, storage, network management tools, and advanced automation platforms.
Additionally, the company will deliver the highly specialized technical services required to provide the agency with unmatched flexibility across network security, system availability, and rapid technology modernization.
A Long-Term Runway Through 2036
Awarded by DISA’s Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization based at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, the firm-fixed-price IDIQ features a substantial operational runway. The contract’s period of performance is slated to run for an entire decade, extending through August 14, 2036.
The agreement carries a guaranteed minimum of $100, which will be met through an initial task order utilizing defense working capital funds. While the primary place of performance is centered at Fort George G. Meade in Maryland, the underlying goal of the contract is to establish a resilient, state-of-the-art global communications network capable of replacing aging capacity while seamlessly supporting the military’s latest multi-domain requirements.
Expanding Peraton’s Defense Portfolio
The CSC III award marks yet another major victory for Peraton as it continues to expand its massive footprint across the national security landscape.
The DISA win follows several recent, high-profile defense contracts secured by the company. In recent months, Peraton booked a $109.1 million contract from the U.S. Space Force to maintain the Space Weather Analysis and Forecast System, as well as a $196 million agreement to deliver cybersecurity and operational support to the U.S. Army’s Global Cyber Center.
Additionally, the company recently secured an other transaction authority (OTA) agreement from Naval Sea Systems Command to modernize how the Navy’s explosive ordnance disposal community handles complex technical data. Together, these awards solidify Peraton’s central role in managing, securing, and scaling the critical networks that power American military dominance.
