In a massive defense technology announcement, General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has officially secured a monumental agreement to overhaul and protect critical military infrastructure. The newly announced GDIT US Army National Guard ENOCS contract represents a massive $1.3 billion investment to ensure that both classified and unclassified military networks remain fortified against rapidly evolving cyber threats.
Upgrading the ENOCS Architecture
Awarded through the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Assisted Acquisition Services, the Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) contract features a one-year base period followed by six one-year option periods. Under the sweeping agreement, GDIT will provide comprehensive enterprise IT and cybersecurity services directly to the Army National Guard, as well as to several other allied federal government partners.
The core of the contract requires GDIT to operate, modernize, integrate, and actively defend the Guard’s sprawling digital footprint. To execute this mission, the company is tasked with standing up brand-new operations centers, streamlining technology provisioning, and providing critical on-site workforce support.
Crucially, the company plans to aggressively weave advanced artificial intelligence, deep data analytics, and next-generation communications tools into the enterprise environment, accelerating the Guard’s overall digital modernization and operational agility.
Expanding a Deep Army Partnership
The Army National Guard routinely plays a vital role in augmenting active-duty forces across domestic and international theaters, making uninterrupted interoperability absolutely essential. Brian Sheridan, GDIT’s Senior Vice President for Defense, emphasized the strategic importance of the award, noting that the Guard relies heavily on resilient networks to safeguard the nation and support local communities during crises.
This $1.3 billion ENOCS award
significantly expands a deeply entrenched, long-running relationship between the military branch and the defense contractor. The win joins an extensive portfolio of massive Army-wide IT programs currently managed by GDIT, including a $1.25 billion contract to sustain mission IT services for U.S. Army Europe and Africa, a $1.7 billion agreement to upgrade virtual flight simulators for military aviators, and specialized technical support for Army mission training complexes. By continuing to leverage its deep operational expertise, GDIT ensures the Army National Guard maintains a decisive, highly secure technological advantage across all operational domains.
