As the military looks increasingly to focus on the offensive and defensive cyber missions within highly contested digital domains, standardization of technology used by forward-deployed operators is paramount. A major defense electronics corporation has bagged a massive potential five-year, $750M sole-source other transaction authority (OTA) contract from U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) to fund full-rate production of a next-gen deployable cyber defense platform through a subsidiary.
Parsons Company’s Sealing Technology Corporation (SealingTech) announced the award earlier this year. According to the latest Parsons SealingTech 750M USCYBERCOM JCHK OTA contract award, the primary objective is to begin FFRP of a next generation of deployable, joint cyber defense platform for the warfighters.
The Joint Cyber Hunt Kit
JCHK will enable rapid deployment and execution of self-contained cyber missions directly in the operational theater.
The acquisition program is dedicated to developing standards-compliant hardware and software that would replace a hodgepodge of service-specific cyber kits with a common joint system. The new JCHK production kits are optimized with significantly expanded memory, accelerated processing speeds, and integrated edge computing to enable enhanced awareness and operational responsiveness in hunting and responding to advanced persistent threats and similar cyber aggression directed against U.S. government facilities. Additionally, the new kits support the U.S. and allied network defense operations at both domestic and overseas locations.
Parsons’ Cyberspace Dominance Efforts Continue to Deliver for Customers
A $750M sole-source production contract for U.S. Cyber Command indicates that SealingTech’s products and technologies are serving critical national security functions and of utmost importance to the Department of Defense. In 2023, Parsons acquired control of SealingTech. In turn, SealingTech’s product solutions and technologies have become a part of Parsons’ broader range of offerings targeting the defense sector as well as the intelligence community customers.
Cyber and electronic warfare operations account for more than 20% of the company’s overall revenue. “The award further validates our people’s technical and design capabilities across our family of portable edge computing products, including the ‘Cyber Fly-Away Kit’ technologies that we developed and continue to advance at the leading edge of mission readiness,” said Jake Nelson, SealingTech’s VP and General Manager.
Edge Solutions Fuel Enhanced Warfighting Capabilities Across the Pentagon’s Missions
In the larger cyber space, this recent Parsons SealingTech JCHECK OTA contract should be seen as a culmination of increased efforts to strengthen the JCHK capabilities and infrastructure. It was in November 2025 when the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) issued a success memo for SealingTech’s innovative fly-away approach. The successful effort was followed by an initial contract from U.S. Cyber Command for $50 production kits in February 2026.
In late March, a press release stated that Sealing Technology has begun prepping the very first operational kits for delivery to four high-priority organizations. Then, U.S.CYBERCOM notified that the award’s ceiling has since been increased to $750M. This development was described by Parsons as a powerful confirmation of the company’s strengths and end-to-end capacity in its recent second-quarter earnings results.
Given the heightened national security and warfighting focus on mission-tailored and more deployable cyber capabilities, industry and policy experts are expected to engage in a meaningful dialogue around the evolving strategic importance of artificial intelligence, digital modeling, and machine autonomy during the Potomac Officers Club’s 2026 Navy on August 27.
