Alaska Silver Corp. (OTCQX: WAMFF) received notice from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that its registration statement became effective on August 11, 2026. The filing was submitted as a Post-Effective Amendment (POS AM) under SEC File No. 333-290204. The effectiveness notice was accepted and recorded through the SEC’s EDGAR system.
Registration Linked to Previously Issued Warrants
The filing relates to Alaska Silver’s registration of common shares that may be issued upon the exercise of previously outstanding warrants. The company had previously registered more than 22 million shares underlying investor and underwriter warrants, with those warrants carrying an exercise price of $0.97 per share.
The registration becoming effective does not itself mean that all of the registered shares have been issued. Instead, it allows the securities covered by the registration statement to be offered or sold in accordance with applicable securities laws and the terms of the underlying warrants.
New Financing Supports Exploration
The SEC development comes as Alaska Silver is advancing an expanded exploration campaign at its Illinois Creek Project in western Alaska. On August 11, the company announced a private investment in public equity (PIPE) financing of up to approximately C$7.6 million, or about US$5.5 million. The financing is intended to increase the company’s 2026 drilling program from approximately 6,000 metres to 9,000 metres.
The financing is structured around units priced at C$0.55 each, with each unit consisting of a common share and a common share purchase warrant. The additional capital is expected to provide Alaska Silver with greater flexibility to pursue resource expansion and exploration targets during the current field season.
Focus on Illinois Creek
Alaska Silver’s Illinois Creek property covers approximately 32,737 hectares and hosts silver, gold, lead, zinc and gallium mineralization. Its 2026 exploration program is focused on expanding the Waterpump Creek resource, testing the Silver Sage target and evaluating additional exploration opportunities across the property.
What It Means for Investors
The effectiveness of the SEC registration provides Alaska Silver with additional flexibility around its outstanding warrants and potential future share issuance. At the same time, the company is raising new capital to accelerate exploration.
Investors will likely focus on whether the expanded drilling program produces meaningful resource growth or new discoveries, while also monitoring potential share dilution associated with warrant exercises and equity financing. Overall, the filing itself is primarily a regulatory step, but it comes at an important point as Alaska Silver seeks to advance its exploration strategy and strengthen its capital position.
