Amphenol Corp. will acquire Boston-based Trexon in a $1 billion cash deal, strengthening its defense and harsh environment interconnect portfolio. The acquisition is expected to close in Q4 2025, adding about $290 million in annual sales and boosting earnings in the first year.
WALLINGFORD, Conn. – Amphenol Corp. (NYSE: APH) announced Monday it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Trexon for approximately $1 billion in cash, strengthening its position in the defense and harsh environment interconnect markets.
Trexon, based in Boston with operations in the U.K., supplies high-reliability interconnect and cable assemblies primarily for defense customers. Amphenol said the acquisition will expand its harsh environment solutions segment and enhance offerings for mission-critical applications.
“Trexon’s unique portfolio of high-reliability cable assembly products will be highly complementary to our existing defense offerings,” said R. Adam Norwitt, President and CEO of Amphenol.
“We look forward to partnering with Trexon’s experienced team to deliver additional high-technology solutions to our customers after closing.”
The transaction, expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Trexon is projected to generate $290 million in sales and an EBITDA margin of 26% in 2025.
Amphenol said the deal is expected to be accretive to earnings per share in the first year following completion.
