In a strategic move to deepen its footprint across federal, state, and local government markets, cyber-physical systems protection company Claroty has officially announced a major corporate restructuring. The company revealed the Claroty Public Sector subsidiary established this week, creating an independent business unit specifically designed to handle all government-facing work and navigate the complex compliance requirements of the defense and intelligence communities.
Pursuing FOCI Mitigation
The establishment of Claroty Public Sector LLC is fundamentally driven by the need to meet strict federal security standards. By creating an independent subsidiary, the company is actively implementing foreign ownership, control, or influence (FOCI mitigation) measures. These protocols are essential for companies seeking to perform classified work or secure highly sensitive contracts with the Department of War and federal civilian agencies.
Jen Sovada, a recognized Wash100 Award winner and the General Manager of Claroty Public Sector, emphasized that this operational independence is the key to scaling the company’s business. By walling off its public sector operations, Claroty ensures that its advanced cybersecurity tools for operational technology (OT), Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and IT environments can be safely deployed across the most secure government networks.
Advancing Federal Authorizations
Alongside the corporate restructuring, Claroty announced significant progress on the federal compliance front. The company’s flagship platform, Claroty xDome for Government, has officially reached “In Process” status at the High impact level within the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). Reaching this milestone required a rigorous external audit and the backing of a sponsoring federal agency, placing the platform directly on the FedRAMP Marketplace.
This progress on the civilian side is mirrored by momentum in the defense sector. The company also announced that the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has granted Claroty an authority to operate through the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service, further validating the platform’s ability to protect critical military supply chain infrastructure.
Bolstering Federal Leadership
To drive revenue strategy and manage go-to-market operations for this newly independent unit, Claroty has tapped industry veteran Lynn Norris to serve as Regional Vice President of Federal Sales.
Norris brings over four decades of experience to the role, beginning his career in the U.S. Air Force before transitioning into enterprise technology sales. His extensive background includes key leadership positions at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, PTC, Illumio, and Orca Security. Most recently, he served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Radiant Logic. With a dedicated leadership team in place and major compliance hurdles being actively cleared, Claroty Public Sector is aggressively positioning itself to secure and manage the sprawling, interconnected physical assets that underpin modern government operations.
