In a major announcement from the Office of Science and Technology Policy, the administration unveiled a sweeping Genesis Mission 5B National Challenges White House funding commitment. This massive initiative transitions what began as a Department of Energy (DOE) project into a whole-of-government mandate, leveraging the combined capabilities of over 15 federal agencies to fundamentally accelerate scientific breakthroughs.
Tackling National Science and Technology Challenges
At the core of this $5 billion commitment is a highly targeted portfolio of National Science and Technology Challenges. These challenges are explicitly designed to tackle the nation’s most complex issues by merging massive federal scientific datasets, advanced supercomputing capabilities, and cutting-edge artificial intelligence. Building the American Science and Security Platform
