Edgewell Personal Care reported third-quarter fiscal 2026 results that marked a return to organic sales growth, driven by stronger performance in North America and improving demand across several key product categories. The company said its strategic investments in innovation, marketing, and commercial execution helped offset continued challenges in some international markets while delivering better-than-expected profitability.
President and CEO Rod Little said the company made meaningful progress during the quarter, highlighting improved North American performance and continued execution of its long-term growth strategy. He added that Edgewell remains focused on strengthening its brands, improving operational efficiency, and delivering sustainable shareholder value.
Sales Increase While Earnings Beat Expectations
For the third quarter ended June 30, 2026, Edgewell reported net sales of $570.1 million, an increase of 1.7% compared with the same period last year. Organic net sales, which exclude currency impacts, rose 1.1%, marking the company’s return to underlying sales growth.
GAAP diluted earnings per share were $0.26, compared with $0.46 a year earlier, reflecting higher restructuring and other costs. However, adjusted diluted EPS reached $0.72, exceeding company expectations as stronger operating performance and disciplined cost management offset inflationary pressures. Adjusted EBITDA also came in above internal forecasts, demonstrating improved profitability despite a challenging consumer environment.
North America Drives Performance
Edgewell credited much of the quarter’s improvement to North America, where sales volumes increased approximately 3% year over year. Strong execution in Wet Shave, Sun & Skin Care, and Feminine Care contributed to the regional gains, supported by successful product launches, promotional activity, and improved retail execution.
While certain international markets remained under pressure due to softer consumer demand and foreign currency headwinds, management said the company’s balanced geographic footprint and portfolio helped mitigate those challenges. Continued investment in innovation and brand building also supported market share across several categories.
Outlook Narrowed for Fiscal 2026
Following the quarter, Edgewell narrowed its full-year fiscal 2026 guidance while leaving the midpoint of its adjusted earnings and adjusted EBITDA outlook unchanged. Management expects continued momentum in North America alongside ongoing operational improvements, although macroeconomic uncertainty and foreign exchange fluctuations remain factors to watch.
The company also reaffirmed its commitment to disciplined capital allocation. Edgewell declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per share, payable on October 8, 2026, to shareholders of record as of September 9, 2026. During the quarter, it paid approximately $7 million in dividends and retained roughly $85 million available under its existing share repurchase authorization.
Focus Remains on Long-Term Growth
Looking ahead, Edgewell plans to continue investing in product innovation, digital capabilities, and brand marketing while improving operational efficiency across its global business. Management believes these initiatives, combined with stronger execution in its largest markets, position the company for sustainable growth despite ongoing economic and consumer spending uncertainties.
